Kosmopoisk search group consists of 200 permanent members and approximately 3000 volunteers from a number of Russia regions who either participate in the expeditions on their own or assist the group in a number of ways. Also, the groupÒs database enlists up to five thousands researchers and explorers all around the Russia.
Since 1982, the group had carried out 465 expeditions in the different regions of former USSR and Russia, including Moscow region, Ural, Volga region, Caucasus, Siberia, Yarutiya, Magadan, Baltic countries, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Crimea, Poland, Greece, Turkey, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia...

As an example of the field trips searches results, we provide a small part of the data collected from the locals during the meteorite search expedition in the Kaluga region.

DYADÒKOVO (Bryansk region). A number of witnesses observed a soundless white and blue burst. The students of the 7 to 9 grade were questioned. The large dispersion in the azimuths and altitude estimations was noticed. Generally, the tailed sphere was reported flying from the west to north. [Collected by A.P.]

KIROV (Kaluga region). At 10.40 p.m. in NNW direction at the app. 40 degrees altitude a white and blue point was observed, then had grew to 0.1 to 0.2 degrees in size and passed the zenith point with the east deviation up to 10 degrees, then faded in SSE direction at 2 to 5 degrees upon the horizon. While the object was passing the zenith region, a daytime light was reported. The objects moving velocity reportedly was the same as a signal rockets, flight time app. 30 sec.

LYUDINOVO (Kaluga region). At 10.40 p.m. from NNW to S a white and yellow object was observed, with 0.2 to 0.3 degrees linear dimensions. Flight time was estimated as 2 to 10 seconds. According to three witnesses information, the object was significantly stretched in the longitudinal direction. The vanishing tail was reported up to 2 degrees in size. The flight was soundless. The object vanished at 2 to 5 degrees altitude. The light was sharp. The pause before the explosion sound is estimated from 3 to 25 seconds. One of the witnesses noticed Ñthe sparks. According to one more, the thunder came first, followed by the humming flight of the ball. All Lyudinovo witnesses are noticing the same single Ñloud noise followed by the plane-like roaring. In sum, 11 witnesses are located [Collected by A.P.]. Most of the Lyudinovo witnesses remind the very strong thunder. A lot of them saw a luminous body flying to SW, but in the half of year they were missing their recollections of the fireball and Hiyakutaki comet which was observed by the naked eye in the same time. Totally, more than 30 witnesses were interviewed, including the militiamen, night guards and railway crossing employees [Collected by V.Ch.]

THE WOOD NEAR THE FALLING EPICENTER. One of the locals at the moment of falling was in the wood. He had clearly located the direction of the light body of 0.5 deg. in dimension falling. The body had crashed into the ground under 10 to 15 deg. Ñsomewhere near from here in the wood marsh. According to this witness, the body should be somewhere in 1.5 to 2 kilometers from his locations, that is in the good correspondence with the other witnesses data [Collected by V.Ch.].

ZHIZDRA (Kaluga region). The ball changing from white and blue to orange and red was observed at the 70 deg. altitude in the north. It had vanished over the horizon in 290 to 330 deg. N. The time before Ñthe thunder is app. 40 second. The blow was single and clearly weaker than in Kirov/Lyudinovo. Than the roaring followed for 3 to 5 minutes. The object diameter is estimated as 0.3 to 0.4 degrees [Collected by A.P.].

KALUGA. The white and blue ball was noticed at 10.42 p.m. at 40 to 50 deg. altitude, the azimuth 300 to 330 deg. The objects angular size was 0.1 to 0.2 deg. During the flight the color had changed to yellow and red. The vanishing is reported at 215 to 220 deg. azimuth at the 1 deg. altitude. During the flight the reconverging tail was noticed up to 2 deg. in length. When vanishing, the object reportedly separated in 2 or 3 fragments. The sounds were not mentioned. Flight time 5 to 10 second. One of the witnesses noticed the white and blue sparks in the beginning of the balls flight. Totally, 4 witnesses are interviewed [Collected by A.P.]...
